Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Deployment Engineer to join our Customer Experience team. This role is critical to our strategic initiative to fast-track the onboarding of customers to the Cisco IQ Link platform. You will serve as the primary technical interface for customers, ensuring seamless deployment, telemetry validation, and operational success.

Core Responsibilities

  • Deployment & Configuration: Execute the end-to-end deployment of Cisco IQ Link across VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and KVM environments.
  • Customer Engagement: Facilitate weekly customer Office Hours and lead onboarding webinars to drive adoption and provide technical clarity.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving IT blockers, including DNS/DHCP issues, firewall rules, proxy configurations, and device credential management.
  • Telemetry & Platform Validation: Connect and validate cloud telemetry across the Cisco portfolio (Catalyst Center, Intersight, Meraki, SD-WAN Manager, and Webex Control Hub) to ensure accurate insights.
  • Project Management & Reporting: Maintain precise deployment trackers, provide regular stakeholder updates, and participate in daily scrums with Theatre CX Leaders and Sales Directors.
  • Escalation & Handoff: Proactively manage stalled deployments, escalate complex blockers to Theatre Leaders, and ensure a smooth transition of accounts to Customer Success and High Touch Support teams once live.
  • Hybrid Working: Some office attendance and travel to customer sites will be expected

Required Skills & Experience

  • Cisco Portfolio Proficiency: Demonstrated experience working with a collection of Catalyst Center, Intersight, Meraki, SD-WAN Manager, and Webex Control Hub.
  • Virtualization Expertise: Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi (v8+), Hyper-V (2022/2025), and KVM on RHEL 9.
  • Technical Networking & Protocols: Deep understanding of DHCP, DNS (A/PTR), Firewall rules, Proxy/NAT, VLANs, and routing fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in device protocols including SSH, SNMP (v2/v3), HTTPS, NTP, and Telnet.
  • Communication & Soft Skills: Fluent in English and the local language; ability to explain complex technical prerequisites to diverse audiences through webinars and direct support.
  • Operational Discipline: Strong project management mindset, with a focus on deployment tracking, blocker escalation, and maintaining high standards of stakeholder communication.
  • Strong analytical reasoning: Creative problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate concepts into actionable execution.

Note: This role requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to manage multiple account deployments simultaneously while maintaining strict adherence to the IQ Link deployment framework.
