International certifications set companies on the path of constant improvement and assure customers, that their (prospective) business partner pledges itself to the highest international standards.
Like many companies, Flint Consulting Ltd. or Flint UKI, proudly holds ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certifications to ensure and show its devotion to best practices. At a time where Security, Quality, and H&S are key elements we are seeing, more and more Clients are having these standards as a minimum requirement for business before they will even start to engage with potential partners.
As Flint UKI just successfully completed the re-certification process for our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and the new ISO 45001 certification, we wanted to share what the certifications mean and why it is important to Flint UKI to hold them.
ISO 27001 – Information Security Management
All data received from clients needs to be kept safe and protected. The ISO/IEC 27001 certification requires companies to hold themselves to an international standard of specifications for an information security management system (ISMS). Companies adhering to the requirements are enabled to manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details, or information entrusted by third parties.
ISO 9001 – Quality Management
The commitment to our customers is one of Flint’s core values. That is also why Flint UKI acquired the ISO 9001:2015 certification, which focuses on customer care. To get certified a company needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer needs and applicable statutory and regulatory needs. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction.
ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety
Any company should be concerned about its employees’ wellbeing and so is Flint. The ISO 45001 certification, which replaced the BS OHSAS 18001 certification, is dedicated to ensuring a healthy work environment. It was developed by an ISO committee of occupational health & safety experts to minimize work-related accidents and diseases.
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
Environmental awareness and sustainability should be at the forefront of any modern conscious company. The ISO 14001:2015 certification helps companies to manage their environmental responsibilities. The company is given a framework to establish an effective environmental management system.
Ensuring best practices abiding ISO standards is a continual process
