Senior Telecommunications Engineer

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Engineer/Senior Telecommunications Engineer, you will lead customer delivery engagements, providing escalation support for large-scale solutions and complex issues. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to drive customer technology transitions, influence solution architectures, and actively contribute to the development of intellectual capital within the organization.

Skills and Responsibilities

As an SD-WAN engineer, you will collaborate with a talented and diverse team to resolve highly complex technical issues within SD-WAN solutions. Your responsibilities include providing technical support to high-profile customers, working with state-of-the-art technologies and solutions.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent, with 6+ years of related experience.
  • Enjoy troubleshooting issues for Enterprise customers.
  • Network design and/or deployment experience is a big plus.
  • Certification in technologies (CCNP).
  • Experience with Viptela.
  • Experience within ACI data center environment.
  • Experience supporting/implementing SD-WAN solutions for an Enterprise.
  • Experience in working with Vmanage, templates, and policies.
  • Knowledge in VPN or other Security technologies.
  • Protocols: IGP, EGP, LISP, VxLAN.
  • Platforms: Variants of ISR routers, vEdge, cEdge, vManage, and Catalyst family CS and Data Center Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customer delivery engagements and provide escalation support for large-scale solutions.
  • Act as a thought leader, collaborating cross-functionally to showcase the value of our services and solutions to customers.
  • Drive customer technology transitions, influencing solution architectures and services.
  • Build customer simulations to resolve and validate complex problems and compatibility issues.
  • Lead the creation and dissemination of technical collateral, intellectual capital, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide technical expertise and escalation support.
  • Actively mentor and develop others within the team.
  • Contribute effectively in the areas of Customer Problem Resolution, Innovation, Engineering Engagement, Intellectual Capital, and Talent Development.
  • Lead the creation and sharing of intellectual property (content, training) for various audiences.
  • Interact effectively with Engineering to solve complex problems and drive issue resolution.
  • Continuously learn and strengthen technical skills within the relevant technical domain.
  • Support presale activities and translate business requirements into solution design.
