For our client, one of the major telecommunications players, we are currently seeking a Senior Routing and Switching Architect.
- Location: Sydney area (hybrid)
- Contract Type: B2B (freelance)
- Length: 1 year (possible prolongation to be discussed)
Responsibilities
- Drive technology design, implementation, and optimization for customer projects.
- Design and architect complex network solutions for service provider environments.
- Provide expertise in routing and switching technologies to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with customers to configure our products and solutions.
- Assist in integrating tools, systems, and service assurance.
- Support presale activities by translating business requirements into solution design.
- Build customer simulations in test labs for problem resolution.
- Deliver collateral, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Align technical deliverables with customer business outcomes.
- Lead delivery projects and enhance solutions.
- Review and approve project deliverables.
- Leverage test environments for problem resolution.
- Serve as a focal point for problem resolution in customer engagements.
Requirements
- BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, plus 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong background in Service Provider network architecture.
- Demonstrated abilities to handle simultaneous work tasks ranging from system integration to complex technical issues.
- Experience with Service Provider Routing & Switching, MPLS, Segment Routing, IPv6, EVPN, BNG.
- Understanding of key frameworks, platforms, technologies, and protocols for Software Orchestration and Automation of Networks (SDN).
- Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python and Perl, desirable.
- Security clearance is required for this position.
