Renewal Manager with German

What you’ll do

The Customer Experience Renewal Manager role is a highly visible, strategic position to empower key customers to continue to transform their business. You will be accountable for owning and carrying out a portfolio of renewal contracts of products and services across an assigned portfolio of customer accounts/territory. The RM works with customer executives, partners and across diverse teams to develop a comprehensive, deep view of customer requirements and objectives and define a strategy to drive renewals to on-time closure, as well as minimize renewals risk and financial attrition. You will bring strong knowledge of negotiation strategies and orchestrates cross-functional resources across the company and with partners to provide a unified path to secure every renewal.

Key responsibilities and activities include:

  • Takes charge of renewing customer agreements for our client’s recurring offers, aiming to maximize retention and expand annual recurring revenue.
  • Leads the renewal sales process from identifying opportunities to closing deals, collaborating closely with channel partner account teams.
  • Evaluates customer installed base, contracts, purchasing structure, and adoption status to devise effective renewal strategies and minimize risks.
  • Utilizes Renewal Plays to support revenue retention, offer migration, and expansion opportunities, working alongside account managers and specialist sales teams.
  • Develops tailored renewal strategies and value propositions based on each customer’s renewal timeline.
  • Manages and forecasts renewal opportunities, advising the account team during negotiations to ensure renewal integrity.
  • Coordinates with decision makers to ensure timely renewals supported by commercial and contractual agreements.

  • Strong process management skills and financial acumen
  • Ability to make strong relationships, foster collaboration and teamwork
  • Strong understanding of subscription and renewals business practices, including customer and partner procurement processes
  • Desire to expand knowledge, grow and develop

Required experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in the IT industry or equivalent industries, preferably from subscriptions and renewals sales
  • Experience with subscription and software offers, negotiating contracts
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
