
Overview
The FireWorks Project Manager is responsible for providing NGFW Security Consulting Services to Cisco customers. Project Manager is expected to coordinate with Cisco CX Centers, CX technical team, partners and customers for the Cisco Firepower/Secure Firewall software upgrades.
FireWorks PM is expected do the project management in respect of Project Schedule, Risk Analysis, Stakeholder engagement, LOE calculation, Manage Communication, manage resources and follow the collaborative approach. Monitor and control the project progress and report on under/overspend trajectories as well as at-completion margins.

Reporting into Project Management organization of Cisco Customer Experience, the Security Consulting Project Manager will work with a high-performing team of pre-sales and delivery Security engineers who have a deep focus on scoping and delivering valuable solutions to our customers. A Security Consulting Project Manager spends most of their time working with Customers across several vertical markets.
Who You Are
Applicants should have significant knowledge of Project Management in security, as well as a proven track record in handling designing and deploying of IT infrastructure projects.
Applications must demonstrate the ability to deliver on the following responsibilities.
FireWorks Services Delivery:
- Working with team to manage transformation with a focus on Firewall upgradation.
- Setup a call with customer and convince them to provide the T-Shoot files (Input data)
- Coordinate with Team for the analysis of TS files and prepare the Method of Procedures (MOP) as per the desired software version.
- Explain to the customer about the value, operation excellency, efficiency which can be achieved after upgradation.
- Clear all the doubts and queries of customer.
- Get the MOP validated and approved by customer.
- Co-ordinate with customer for the Change window.
- Co-ordinate with team for the upgradation and post upgradation monitoring.
- Fulfill the Project Acceptance Criteria, adhere with the Definition of Done (DoD)
Required Skills
This is a Project Management role, requiring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure projects, working with large Enterprise entities.
Requirements include:
- Legal right to work in the designated theater and/or country
- Preference for candidates who have or can quickly requalify for local security clearance so they can work with government and defense customers in restricted environments
- Experience in Project Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & controlling and closing.
- Experience with a wide range of infrastructure technologies, such as routing and switching and wireless.
- Detailed understanding of Project Management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with customer technical staff and management.
- Proven leadership skills and experience working with large cross functional teams with diverse culture across geographic boundaries and time zones
- Solid understanding and experience with customer facing project management
- Held a direct managerial role of resources
- Ability to lead, run and support delivery teams, coordinate activities, innovate and seek continuous improvement on delivery quality and standards, provide critical insights as to project and program direction
Desired certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Experience in Agile methodology (CSM – Certified Scrum Master)
- Fluency in English is a must (written and verbal).
