We are seeking an experienced Consulting Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality services across Data Center and Cloud infrastructure projects. In this role, you will work closely with customers across the European region, supporting them through design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting phases of their network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive technology design, implementation, execution, and optimization for customer projects and accounts.
- Plan, design, configure, and troubleshoot networking solutions to accelerate customer outcomes.
- Assist customers with the integration and deployment of tools, systems, and service assurance solutions.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs, supporting pre-sales activities as needed.
- Build customer simulations in test environments to validate complex solutions and address compatibility challenges.
- Deliver technical documentation, knowledge transfer sessions, and maintain customer portals.
- Align technical deliverables with customer business outcomes.
- Influence customer technology transitions and contribute to evolving their solution architectures.
- Act as a key escalation point, communicating effectively at all organizational levels.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and utilize tools to support professional services strategies.
Role-Specific Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers across Europe.
- Participate in or lead complex Data Center and Cloud network infrastructure projects.
- Troubleshoot complex, cross-functional issues, potentially including networking (ACI, VXLAN, routing protocols), network management systems, and automation.
- Test solutions in internal labs prior to deployment.
- Provide technical support during software and hardware upgrades.
- Participate in regular status updates and ad-hoc technical discussions with customers.
- Manage deliverables independently while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support Project Managers with project tracking and issue resolution.
Scope
- Collaborate with other Consulting Engineers across technology domains to optimize project delivery.
- Interact regularly with individual contributors, management, and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.
Complexity
- Tackle moderately complex problems, evaluating multiple alternative solutions before recommending the best course of action.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and supporting Networking and Data Center solutions.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., ACI, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, STP, VLANs, vPC, QoS).
- Good grasp of Data Center concepts, architectures, and emerging trends.
- Hands-on experience with Nexus devices.
- Practical knowledge and experience in Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).
Desired Skills (Competitive Advantage)
- Solid understanding of other network domains such as security, service provider, or enterprise solutions.
- Knowledge of Public Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in operating systems administration (Linux, Windows Server).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and container platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.).
