We are seeking a Consulting Engineer to drive technology design, implementation, and optimization for customer projects. This role involves working closely with clients to design, configure, and integrate advanced networking solutions while ensuring seamless service delivery. The position is based on-site in Cairo, Egypt.
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with potential extension)
Start Date: Immediate Availability Preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, implement, and optimize network solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Work with customers to define technical needs and translate business requirements into solution designs.
- Assist in the integration and implementation of network tools, systems, and service assurance solutions.
- Provide technical support and problem resolution for complex networking issues.
- Build and test customer simulations in lab environments to validate configurations and troubleshoot compatibility issues.
- Develop and deliver technical documentation, portals, and knowledge transfer materials for customers.
- Ensure technical deliverables align with customer business objectives.
- Support pre-sales activities, including technical assessments and solution presentations.
- Guide customers through technology transitions, influencing solution architectures and service strategies.
- Comply with organizational policies, processes, and best practices to execute projects efficiently.
Role-Specific Responsibilities:
- Utilize consulting tools for analysis and execution of project deliverables under guidance.
- Perform technical support tasks, including research and troubleshooting.
- Assist senior engineers in replicating customer environments in labs for issue resolution.
- Maintain general awareness of how software tools can configure, deploy, and troubleshoot network solutions.
Scope:
- Receives guidance from experienced colleagues and mentors.
- Limited direct customer interactions but expected to support senior engineers in customer engagements.
- Works on defined tasks and assignments that require analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in networking, IT consulting, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, routing, switching, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to support technical projects under guidance while progressively taking on more responsibility.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work within structured project methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with network design, implementation, and service assurance.
- Certifications in networking or IT (e.g., CCNA, Network+).
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting for network configurations.
- Previous experience working in telecommunications or IT consulting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
